Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee sprinter who was barred from able-bodied competition in January, will be allowed to pursue his dream of qualifying for the Olympic Games after an unexpected decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Several Paralympic athletes and officials said that the court’s ruling would probably not affect many athletes, at least immediately. A large portion of athletes in the Paralympic Games, which take place two weeks after the Olympics,…

Seeking an Amazon solution

Seen from a small boat emerging from Puraquequara lagoon into the full flow of the Amazon River, this is a world reduced to water, trees and sky.

Most URLs give you exactly what you think they will. Money.com takes you to CNN’s Money page. If you’re looking for a car, go to Cars.com. Then there are the ones that suck — those complete wastes of excellent domain names that take you to a blank page (or even worse). Here are some URLs that SHOULD be something. They just aren’t.

5 Superhero Movie Scenes They’ll Never Let You See

It’s a tricky business adapting comic books to film. The screenwriter has the unenviable task of cramming decades of backstory into two hours, and difficult decisions have to be made. These cuts, however, are not the difficult ones. Here are five story lines from upcoming comic book films that the studio won’t be releasing soon.

What We Probably Won't See: Ant-Man's arch-nemesis was curiously existential. Instead of battling the Orkin Man or a pair of size 10 Keds or something, Ant-Man (who in real life was scientist Henry Pym) constantly…

Weird and Wacky Drinks

Some drinks just make sense. Take a Tom Collins: gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, a drizzle of sugar syrup, and some carbonated water to taste. But other drinks defy logic and good sense. Here are some of the weirdest drinks, ranging from stupid (Diet Water) to scandalous (beer for kids) to reportedly sensational (Bacon Martini).
