Intuition Can Be Explained

Intuition, or tacit knowledge, is difficult to measure, so it is often denigrated. A new dissertation in education research from Link?ping University in Sweden shows that there is a neurobiological explanation for how experience-based knowledge is created.

Capturing and storing carbon dioxide (CCS) is predicted to be one of the most important measures to counter the threats to our climate. But the technology still hasn’t been tested in full scale, and the complications and risks it…

Nazi Jews: A Historical Paradox

Would it surprise anyone to learn that there were upwards of 150, 000 soldiers of partial Jewish descent serving in the Nazi army during World War II?

The common public notion is that no one of Jewish descent would have ever been allowed to serve in the Nazi regime and, if discovered, would be immediately deported to a forced labor or extermination/concentration camp. This was not the case. The…

Exclusive: Wanted’s Mark Millar Settles the Score for Fans

To prove to everyone that Wanted is the perfect adaptation of the comic, we went to creator, Mark Millar, and asked him a few brief questions to settle any disputes. Alex, have you read the comic?I really doubt you would love the movie so much if you had read the book. And you keep saying how violent the book is but the movie is pretty violent as well.I don't care what Millar says. He has to say those…

Vatican bans Dan Brown film Angels & Demons from Rome church

The Vatican has banned the makers of Angels & Demons, the latest Dan Brown thriller to be filmed, from shooting scenes not only in the Vatican but in any church in Rome on the ground that it is “an offence against God” and “wounds common religious feelings”.

Bottom Line: it’s a book written (and movie made) for the sole purpose of maligning Christianity for enjoyment of non-Christians. If the author and movie makes aren’t accurate in their portrayal of the Catholic Church…

Let’s Bible! - The Good Book Goes Wild, Manga Style

Seems that Let’s Bible isn’t some wacked-out comic book version of the New Testament though it does borrow more than a few characters from it, including Jesus Christ him-, uh, herself - sporting an unexpectedly sexy new look. That, and a rack that would make Pam Anderson drool.

And so their adventure begins - punctuated by epic battles between the forces of good and evil, guest appearances by the 12 apostles, and a scene where Nazareth gets her boob squeezed. Then things start getting weird. The Father, the Son… and…

That is not what the interview was about. And neither is the film, now called Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. The subtitle exposes its motif—intelligent design has been expelled from classrooms and culture, and Ben Stein sees a…
