Looking at pictures can help to inspire creativity, give you new ideas, and help you to see old things in new ways.
I totally agree. Sometimes when I feel really stuck, I look for creative solutions by others and then apply the principles they used to come up with my own creative ideas that apply to the subject I’m thinking about.
