When No Hope Is Left In Sight

The urge to commit suicide used to be regarded as a simple process. It was thought that mental illness (or physical illness, especially in the elderly) could lead to suicidal thoughts, then suicide attempts, followed by actual suicide. In recent years, however, researchers have found that this tragic phenomenon is much more complicated.
